Plot Summary: Yuuichi returns to a small town after a seven year absence. He used to visit the place when he was a child. When he returns, he realises that he has little memory of the place, even though he has a feeling that important things had happened there. During his stay, he meets several girls, his cousin, Nayuki; an amnesiac with a grudge, Makoto; a taiyaki lover and childhood friend, Ayu; a sickly girl who often visits his school, Shiori; and a self-proclaimed demon slayer, Mai. As he helps them solves their problems, old memories began to arise.
Storyline: 9.5/10. Beautiful! Superb! Magnificent! Probably the best of its kind. Every arc comes with a twist and some adequate drama. In my opinion, the Makoto arc is the best of them all.
Music: 8.5/10. I'm no music expert. Heck, I'm not even an amateur, but if I'm not mistaken, several famous pieces are played throughout the series (Kanon being the most obvious). Anyway, the opening and ending are lighthearted songs with little change in tone, but quite adequate considering the mood of the series.
Artwork: 8/10. Impressive art, as expected from Key (original creators) and Kyoto Animation (makers of the anime).
Overall: 9/10. I'd be lying if I didn't say that this is one of the best anime (and possibly the best of its genre) I've watched so far. A perfect mix of drama and comedy with a fairytale-ish touch. It's the only anime that was close to making me tear. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this!
