Yep, she came back like she said she would. She had a girl's name so she definitely was a woman. This time, it went like this. And like before, the entire conversation has been translated into english.

Woman approaches counter (me).

Woman: Please take out your RM10 notes. I want to exchange.
Me (thinking): Here we go again...

But seeing as how she had only a few bills in her hand, I thought I might as well just satisfy her. So, I took out some new RM10 notes and showed her.

Woman: No, I want old ones.

What surprised me then was that I was hardly surprised when she said that, but I did ask. I just thought, "Oh, so she wants old ones today."

Me: Why?
Woman :I want to open box. (She said, "Wah ai iong lai kui ah..." or something similar.)

I didn't pursue the matter further since I knew I wasn't gonna make any sense anyway. So, I just gave her some old RM10 notes (I'm happy to get rid of them BTW).

Woman: Now, I want old RM1 notes.

I didn't even say or think anything this time. I just picked out the old RM1 notes and gave her. There wasn't enough in the counter. For some reason, I felt the urge to laugh.

Woman: Do you have old RM1 notes with you?
Me (smiling, holding back from laughing): Sure... *Exchanges RM1 note*
Woman: Jimmy, do you have old RM1 notes?
Jimmy: No. Go ask someone else. *leaves shop*
Woman: KC, do you have any old RM1 notes.
KC: No. Go ask Jimmy. *leaves shop*

I almost laughed when KC said that. Jimmy would probably have killed KC if he heard that. It's a good thing they had customers to visit before they went back home.

Woman: NK (the Malay girl), do you have old RM1 notes?
NK: No. *walks to back of shop to check stock*
Woman: *goes to the back* Mr Tan, do you have old RM1 notes?
Mr Tan: No. I'm busy. *continues talking to customer*

Damn did I REALLY REALLY want to laugh then. But that would've probably cost me my job. Well, she came front back before long. I had some binding to do, so she just stood there staring. In fact, my customer immediately left the shop, saying that she'll come back for her books later.

Woman: What is your name?
Me: I'm (y'all know my name!).
Woman: My name is Lilian.
Me: Your surname?
Woman: ___ (I can't divulge further info)
Me: Oh, how do you write that?
Woman: In Chinese.
Me: ...okay...
Woman: Are you from Chinese school?
Me: Yes.
Woman: I am from English school.
Me: Oh, you're from an English school.
Woman: No, I'm from an English school.
Me: ...Okay...
Woman: (myname), nice to meet you. Hao jian ni.
Me: Huh?
Woman: Nice to meet you. Hao jian ni. Nice to meet you.
Me: Ohh... hao jian ni (yes, that was completely wrong)...
Woman: You can speak Chinese?
Me: Yes. (I've been speaking to you in Chinese all this while, and didn't I just tell you I'm from a Chinese school!?)
Woman: I can speak Chinese. I can write my name in Chinese also. I can also write stay healthy (in chinese). I can also speak Chinese. Oh, I can also write my name in Chinese. I also know how to write stay healthy (in chinese). I know how to speak Chinese. I can also write some words in Chinese. I can also write my name in Chinese.
Me: (I've got to change the subject!) Oh, where did you learn Chinese?
Woman: I can speak Chinese and can write some things in Chinese?
Me: No no. Where...did...you...learn...Chinese?
Woman: I learn from TV and a friend taught me. So I can speak Chinese. I can also write my name in Chinese. I also know how to write stay healthy.
Me: Oh... So where do you work?
Woman: In a handicap hospital.
Me (thinking): You sure you're not admitted in there instead!? (I'm not so rude as to say that out loud, but I'm sure all of you would have had the same thought)
Woman: I'm from English school, but I've learned how to speak Chinese.
Me: Oh... (sounding more and more like my I-don't-care self)
Woman: I want plastic bag.
Me: Oh... (not really paying attention)
Woman: Give me the yellow one.
Me: Oh... *reaches out, takes one and gives her*
Woman: No, I want the red one. (Huang and hong sound so alike from the way she said it)
Me: Oh... *Gives her a red plastic bag*
Woman: No, I want that one. The one sticking out.
Me: Oh... *Gives her what she wants*
Woman: I want tissue paper.
Me: Over there... (I probably sounded like the usual me by then)
Woman: Don't have. Oh, I see some down there.

And she took started picking tissue papers from the box on the lower shelf. I couldn't care less. I had binding to do. Lots of them. I hate tape-binding and that customer that left earlier wanted me to do 10. I actually preferred talking to the woman than do tape-binding. Well, I was finished by the time she picked out the tissue paper she wanted.

Woman: Now, I want that yellow plastic bag. That small one. Yes, that one. Okay, thank you. Bye bye, (myname). Hao jian ni.
Me: Yeah, hao jian ni. Bye.
Woman: Bye bye.
Me: Oh...
Woman: Bye bye.
Me: Okay. Bye bye.

And she left. I sighed and went on humming "Hajimari no Kaze". Immediately after that, NK and my boss came back to the front.

Me (thinking): Was I the scapegoat!?

But she was less annoying today. Maybe it's because she left pretty quickly today. But I still don't want her to come back.

Oh, and my workplace just got another star. I found a place nearby renting manga and some anime. Yay! Now, I don't have to walk all the way to 1-stop! But they're all in Japanese, so I don't think any of you would be interested.

Let's see. Video game store, manga rental store, good, cheap food, tailor shops (cosplay help!), hardware store (weapon making) and the bank all within 10 minute walking distance. Plus, my shop sells stationery! I guess it gets a 4.8/5. It would get a perfect five if there was a shop selling lots of anime instead of just renting them and if the pay was higher.
