Claymore, Bleach, Naruto etc.

You know the problem with these three titles? They spam characters. Not only that, they spam characters in such a short period of time, you'd have to reread the whole series 3-4 times at least just to memorise the characters' names. And don't even get me started on abilities. And the bad thing is that they either kill off characters and immediately replace them with new ones or the characters just never die.

Bleach was my first character-spamming manga. It was the first time I couldn't remember most of the character's names. We have the four human characters, Ichigo (well, he used to be), Orihime, Chad, and Uryu. Then, there's Rukia, the first Shinigami. We had some pretty easy time remembering characters then, but then here comes Byakuya and Renji to capture Rukia. After that, it's just two characters after another two. There are thirteen squads of Shinigami. And each squad has a captain and a sub-captain which often appears in the story. That makes 26, but that's not all, they throw in some extra members of each squad like Ikaku. Good luck memorising all that! After the Shinigami world arc, they immediately head to the Hollow world arc, once again introducing the Masked Army and the Espadas. They also throw in subs for the espadas and also former espadas. Note that I haven't even mentioned their skills. The Shinigamis have two attack types (magic and offense type) as well as two levels of technique, Shikai and Bankai. And each person has different ones. If your brain hasn't exploded from memorising all that, then congrats! Your brain is a portal to the fourth dimension!

Next up is Naruto. I am not a fan of the series. The beginning was just too boring for me to continue. I hear Shippuden introduces an excellent storyline, but it's a pain to read a story from the middle. Anyway, this series is also a character spammer. They try to eliminate characters, but it doesn't help if you're just gonna kill one character and replace him with 2-3 more. And ninjas have an insane number of Jutsu. Just try to memorise each one!

Finally, there's Claymore. For a manga series that releases a chapter every 2 months and currently only has 91 chapters, it spams characters. Of course, there are far less characters to memorise than the above two, but they pop up very fast. You start the story with only Claire and Naji. Then at one point in the story, they pummel you with some 20+ characters in 3-4 chapters. Note that a large number of them are still alive and almost everyone plays an important role in the story. Oh, and there are 47 Claymores at any time. They killed off almost every Claymore at the part where they introduced the 20+ characters and replaced them with a whole set of new ones. Smart, huh? Then, there are the Awakeneds and they'll probably start introducing the high ranking officials in the Organisation soon. I am SOOOO gonna love memorising this. And did I mention that each Claymore has their own special ability?
