I guess I haven't mentioned any Wii games on this blog before, so I'll start with this one. By far, it is the most enjoyable fighting game I've played. It's simple and easy to pick up since there are very few button combinations to press for skills.
Unlike most fighting games, HP does not exist here. It is instead replaced by damage percentage. The higher the percentage, the further you are knocked back when hit. Try being smacked when your percentage is about 800%. You'll get pwned off the map like a rocket! Any Smash attack can already pwn you out of existence when your percentage is 150%.
The objective is to hit your opponent(s) out of the ring while keeping yourself on the platform. Number of KOs - Number of deaths = Score. Highest score wins.
Many characters that are non-Nintendo were introduced in this new installment. Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series and Sonic from the Sonic the Hedgehog series were the two I noticed. The whole list of characters in the game are just too may for me to list here.
Oh, and Nobuo Uematsu did the SSBB theme song.
