Reminiscing

Exams suck! So, I'm gonna just gonna remind myself of the 3 greatest anime/manga I've ever watched/read.

1. Tsubasa Chronicles

Topping the list is a manga. CLAMP's greatest work in my opinion. Something about this series just charms me. I can't say what, but it is there. The plot basically revolves around Shaoran in his quest through dimensions to collect feathers, which contains the memories of his love, Sakura. Accompanying him is the greatest ninja in his dimension, Kurogane; and the runaway magician, Fye D. Flourite. Basic plot, but it gets better as the story progresses. Events are linked together as they keep emphasizing on the "There are no coincidences, only certainties" philosophy in the most unexpected ways possible. Unfortunately, the anime doesn't live up to the manga's standards. The anime has a great soundtrack, but it includes too much extra storyline that wasn't in the original manga. PLUS, Yume no Tsubasa (above) is the best song I've known!

2. Fushigi Yuugi

Second on my list is a romance anime! It earns the most points for its wonderful soundtrack! But the plot is also pretty good. Basically, Miaka is a schoolgirl who gets sucked into a book. There, she becomes the Maiden of Suzaku and is protected by Seven Warriors (among them is Tamahome). Their mission: summon Suzaku. It emphasises on the romance between Miaka and Tamahome and it is one of the few romance tales that have ever moved me. "I know now why I exist. I exist because of you, Miaka!" Man, that line was just so touching.

3. Shin Hakkenden

This anime was among the best ever made. Unfortunately, this anime wasn't famous. It was only famous in the Philipines and SEA countries where there was AXN. It was the second anime to get me interested in anime (first being Gatekeepers). It's a tragic story, where all the heroes and heroines actually give their lives to complete their quest, something most other titles never emphasize on. AND, it has one of the best opening themes.
